Friends make me happy

Happiness for all the people in the world is one of the main goals of the United Nations Organization (UNO). Every year on March 20th there is the International Day of Happiness. On this special day there are many special events all over the world that focus on WHO and WHAT makes us happy.

On this year’s Day of Happiness we would like to celebrate friendship and our friends, because friends definitely make our lives happier.

You plan a “Friendship party” in English class and invite your parents and their friends to listen to your presentations about friendship and to get to know your best friends.

Prepare a Power-Point Presentation and

  • explain why friends are V.I.P.s (very important persons) (at least 5 examples),
  • explain why your best friend is/best friends are important to you (at least 5 examples),
  • describe your best friend‘s character,
  • inform the listeners about what you (usually/often/sometimes/never) do together with your very best friend/friends (at least 5 examples), and
  • tell them why you like your best friend/friends.

You should talk for at least 1 minute.

Try to

  • be creative in using words and phrases,
  • surprise and impress the listeners, and
  • speak as fluently as you can.
